Leap Day on 2/29/2012
Leap years are years with 366 days instead of the usual 365. They are necessary because a year is actually 365.242 days long, not 365 days as commonly stated. Basically, leap years occur every four years on those evenly divisible by four (2008, for example). This extra day is added to the calendar as the 29th of February.

Deployed Spouses Program on 2/3/2012
The Properties at Wright Field is excited to continue helping families in support of our deployed military men and women. In November 2010, PWF launched the “Deployed Spouses Program” in honor of your service to our Country.
We want to ease the burden on families during the deployment, by offering our assistance. If your spouse is deployed or getting ready to deploy, please stop by the office with a copy of orders so we can go over the program with you.

Fire Prevention on 2/3/2012
Fire Prevention briefings are required for all newly assigned Privatized Housing Residents within 30 days of move-in. This briefing is given once a month and will last approximately one-half hour and may be attended by either spouse assigned to housing. Click here for more dates and locations.

Military Utilities Allowance on 1/1/2012
With 2011 winding down, our military families who receive a utilities allowance will be receiving information for the adjustment taking place on 1 January 2012. Our office will be sending letters within the next few weeks to advise of the change and process for adjustment.

Freezing Weather on 12/30/2011
The Properties at Wright Field asks for you to please remove your water hoses from all outside plumbing fixtures. Leaving your hose attached to the fixture can cause it to freeze and possibly cause damage to your home.
The Properties at Wright Field asks that you do NOT turn off the heat in your home. Turning off the heat may cause the pipes to freeze and damage your home.

Waste Management on 12/30/2011
Waste Management will collect your holiday trash on their normal weekly Tuesday schedule. Don’t forget, you can place your trash at the curb on Monday for Tuesday’s pick up. Your trash toters and recycle bins must be taken back to their appropriate areas by Wednesday.
